A paradise: the beach!
We regularly come to Pornichet with our three children. Here, there is all that it is necessary for successful holidays.
Our favorite place is the beach of the Libraires (Booksellers). The beach is beautiful, the sand is fine and it is under watching.
In the morning, there is an initiation to sailing: optimist for our younger child and catamaran for our elder daughter.
In the afternoon, my 4 and 8-year-old children go to the beach club. They find their friends and love the activities which are proposed: quizzes, trampolines, inflatable games and a time of bathing supervised by very nice animators.
In the beach, our small pleasure is also to savour a small ice cream by looking at the ocean.
We are not bored!
The children also love playgrounds. Slides, climbing… They are happy, and we take advantage of it with their dad to read quietly under the shadow of pines by watching them.
We also regularly go to the multimedia library. We borrow books, CD, DVD from it… It is opened all year and also proposes evenings dedicated to the tales, exhibitions… There is also a games library which lends 300 games. We play on the spot or we take them at home. To close the afternoon, a small merry-go-round ride in the Océanes or in Congrigoux.
We have fun!
Our children also love crepes. Then to please all the family, we often alternate between creperie and traditional restaurant. There is a wide choice in the city center.
The animations are varied in Pornichet and most are free. The inescapable meeting of the children, they are the Vendredis des P’tits Loups (shows, plays, initiations…) that take place during spring and summer holidays. Numerous summer tours also stop in Pornichet: the Summer FDJ NRJ 12, Beach Rugby Tour, Beach Soccer… In the middle of July, we don’t miss Pornichet La Fête: a day around the theme of the Brittany. Parades, initiations into the Breton dance, games and fireworks are in the program! In August, we are going to dream in front of the incredible sand sculptures of the short-lived Exhibition.
We also frequent the theater Quai des Arts from October till May: concert, theater, show… The programming is quality and there are often shows for young audiences.
It is cunning!
The Tourist office also proposes visits of the town around its history and its heritage, and certain are adapted for the families. A playful way of discovering Pornichet!
My advice to have a good stay in Pornichet: the label OK Kid! Created and set up by the Tourist office, it allows to locate easily establishments, activities and animations aimed at families.
